A revamped rooftop bar and restaurant is set to open at the Resorts World complex early next year.
Chef Andy Waters has run his eponymous restaurant at the entertainment venue next to the NEC since it opened in 2015 but it is now relocating to the complex’s tenth floor.
The new restaurant, which is due to open on January 10, will combine with space currently occupied by The Sky Bar and will be called Sky by Waters.
It will be able to serve double the number of covers compared with the existing Waters Restaurant and will have a private dining area, a cocktail bar and ‘secret garden’.
Genting Hotel guests will also be served breakfast from the new venue.
Mr Waters said: “I am looking forward, along with all of my Waters team, to be moving to this stunning new location within Resorts World.
“Over the past three years, we have established a loyal customer base but the number of covers available has been challenging.
“With this fantastic new restaurant, I will be able to increase the number of covers which is great and we will now have a fabulous bar and secret garden to enhance the experience for guests.
“I am so excited about this new opportunity and confident that we are creating a bar and restaurant that will be very special.”
The investment in Sky by Waters comes as Resorts World celebrates its third birthday in October.
During the latest year of trading, 3.8 million guests were welcomed through the doors.
Other brands to take up residency there in recent months include Miller & Carter, Zizzi and Beauty Outlet.
